I didn't notice anything different in my very brief excursion into
Master Docs when updating that chapter, but I could easily have missed
something.
Yes, the kludges regarding cross-refs between subdocs were covered in
the chapter. They appear to be no different in OOo3 than in OOo2.x, and
still dependent on setting references; the new x-ref to headings feature
in OOo3 appears to not work between subdocs, although there may be some
trick to it that I have not yet discovered.
