I suspect that would not help, or it might help but not solve the
problem. Too many spammers are getting around CAPTCHA these days.
I thought that Marko (who has been our Plone admin for several years)
had made some changes a couple years ago to disable the "members" areas,
at least for people who did not have the Author role. Perhaps I am
misremembering, or perhaps that's no longer the case.
I'll try to contact Marko if he doesn't see this. I know he's very busy.
