Hi all,
I've just started to "wikify" the German Writer Guide and was wondering
if there are some tools or best practices around which might be
helpful.
My current steps include
1. export ODT with the internal filter into .txt file (wiki-markup)
(filter works pretty well but still seems a bit buggy, I'm working with
OOo 3.0.1)
2. export (=save) images one by one (right click.. save)
3. rename images according to wiki editing policy
4. review .txt file (mainly insert image file names but also remove some
minor filter trash)
5. create pages/sections in the wiki one by one
A) for every section (resp. chapter):
1. create + customize section TOC
B) for every page:
1. customize template call parameters
2. insert (paste) wiki markup from .txt file
3. upload the images needed for that page
Especially step 2 (saving images one by one) is time consuming. How did
you do it? Maybe there's a macro which saves all the images at once?
Another one is step 5B3 (uploading images one by one). Any chance to
have 20-30 image files uploaded at once?
