I'd like to have some of the Calc Guide chapters reviewed more
thoroughly -- and possibly rewritten -- before creating a book. See my
note on the thread "Another new member".
We desperately need at least one, preferably several, people who
actually use spreadsheets with functions and formulas for calculations
to review and, if needed, revise some of the chapters. Chapter 7 in
particular has been identified as one needing work.

After struggling for three days with Photoshop (the program the
publisher recommended for making the cover PDF for a book I'm working
on) and its documentation (or lack thereof), I tried doing it in OOo
Writer and had the job finished in half an hour. Yes, I had to look up
how to do a couple of things, but the doc was clear and it was easy to
find the answers.
Now that the two books I have been working on are pretty much out of the
way, maybe I can get back to proofing Calc if you still need any help.
