Okay, I'm still going through the markup on Chapter 1, but here's my
initial take: any chapter that gets to 129 pages needs some serious
trimming and this is no exception. There is too much in this chapter
that could be summarized down or thrown out altogether. Do we really
need, for example, a section that tells people where to store their
files? Anything that walks the user step-by-step through any action
that requires more than three clicks at this point is a little premature.
There are other issues in the document and I'll upload my marked up
version, but I would seriously suggest deleting any section with four
or more numbers and seriously looking at three numbers. The point of
this chapter is an introduction, not a complete book in and of itself.

This is the reduced version (44 pages), I cut out text not necessary
into introduction chapter, not duplicate my effort, and Dan went
trhrough corrected my mistakes.
I think, it can be reduced more, but not too confident about it.
