try to initailize mounts all the machines first... so that the
machines are in the yp cache... than startup up manually
the autofs daemon...does it flag the same error ??

for a simple test:
you could try running secondary dns instead of yp ???

am gonna play with 2.2.5 this weekend I hope...donno...
