All, Just FYI, I'm about half-way through normalizing the kvm vs libvirt configurations (yes, the whole dang thing). So far, there are only a handful of conflicts which will require code changes/updates. Most of the code changes are simple renames, or addition of some simple "if param then else" logic.
I'm keeping notes about these with in-line comments and using git's rerere module to record the merge as I go. Since there are ongoing changes on both sides, hopefully using rerere will help rebasing my updates later. Assuming my progress pace continues, the normalization shouldn't take long. Once it's done, my thinking is to package the normalized & centralized config. as one of several patches in a set for review. Though if anyone has any suggestions or related recommendations let me know.
