not yet. I will try and find time to fix this (and figure out how to get the rmi compilation in the apps section going, too). I think there's some dependencies missing for some reason.
I was about to look at this as well - the reference i fortress re. the meta package should be rolled over to the avalon-sandbox meta package and the corresponding meta in Excalibur should be deleted.
