"becoming" very political and splintered. Quite the opposite,
it is now that we're finally getting together again.

Look, how about this:
1. Larry's vote (regarding @author tags) counts.
2. Larry is brought back to active committer status, just as we
did with Stefano. Motivation for this is the same as for
Stefano.
(I realize that we should perhaps have had a [PROPOSAL] stage for
this, but in the interest of defusing a situation that I think
can grow real ugly real fast unless it is handled, let's do
it quick & easy.)
