Hi, I too share Paul's urgency to have a full release of Phoenix asap. I've only recently started looking to Phoenix, and we would like to use it as the framework for a major application - but it is very difficult (if not impossible) getting an opensource product which is not a full release accepted in a commercial environment.
The idea of a release schedule is a very good idea - and would be useful. Perhaps something like a roadmap (akin to Mozilla or Netbeans) planning some weeks down the line. I would hope to see a full release in a few weeks. The release of Cornerstone would also be very welcomed. It would greatly benefit the perception that people have of the maturity of Avalon. The earlier a full release is out, the more likely it is that projects will start using it - at least in commercial enterprises. Being by design Avalon modular and componentised, if some components are not ready they could be included in successive releases. Perhaps more frequent and more incremental releases could be a way forward. Folks, I'd like to push the Phoenix release schedule. As part of that what work would people like to do before we release the next beta? What timescales are people hoping to do work in? - Paul -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> For additional commands, e-mail: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> This e-mail (and any attachments) is confidential and may contain personal views which are not the views of the BBC unless specifically stated.
