Except that the number of developers working on avarice these days only ever 
approaches 2.

So for our purposes, a centralized VCS works just fine. If for some unknown 
reason we suddenly have an explosion of development such that it requires a 
distributed VCS, then I think Joerg would be willing to reconsider.
