I have agpgart compiled in the kernel not as a module, tdfx seems to be
loading ok:

(II) TDFX: Driver for 3dfx Banshee/Voodoo3 chipsets: 3dfx Banshee,
        3dfx Voodoo3, 3dfx Voodoo5

it's followed by like 25 lines of lines starting with (??) TDFX: *
                                                       ^^ wild cards

I am recompiling the kernel with agpgart as a module for the hell of it ;)

didn't change anything, glx is loaded, tdfx is loaded agpgart module is
loaded /proc/mtrr has write-combining set, hm.

running benchmark with and without agpgart doesn't make any different in
performance. hm.

I get about 24Mps if I use a 'special' XF86config that has a TV out mode
as the only mode set (640x480@16bpp) which is still slow.

I even tried nice -20 benchmark file.avi for the hell of it. slight
improvement.

argh. I dunno.
