Yeah, for example avifile. There are not many (none seen) programs that have so
much flawed configure/automake/whatever. avifile can't even be
./configured on my box, let alone compile the c++ power (not that I'd need
it:). BTW, MPlayer's configure script runs even on a 80286/Minix with only 2-3
modifications :))

Back then, when only avifile existed as a serious project, this list's traffic
wasn't 98% configure issues, and 1% mpegtoraw bugreports :)
(if I recall correctly, then came the "gcc3 patches"..)
