I know you are not exactly divX ppl, but i guess divX pretty much is
what all the effort in playing non-standard encoded avi-files under
linux was about.
Thus i ask you: why avi? Why must a divX encoded video stream be
packed into an avi file instead of a good old, streamable, multi-
platform mpeg system stream. I mean, after all, divX ist MPEG 4...
I have asked that question to the divX guys themselves, but i never
got an answer to it. Is it really that stupid?
