I tried it, it worx.
Since this works for you, can you tell me what version of transcode you use and what version of lame/avifile etc... I still can't get transcode to deal with sound correctly. I've been trying transcode 0.5.0 0.5.2 and the 0.6.0pre1, all are doing the same thing. When I use avisplit, to split up a 900MB file to 700MB+200MB, the second part contains no audio. When I pass through the video of files recorded with avifile and convert PCM to MP3, I get no sound at all, although transcode indicates it is converting. Some output of avisplit : avisplit -s 700 -i Aliens\ -\ Special\ Edition\ \[Divx\].avi [avilib] A: 48000 Hz, format=0x55, bits=0, channels=2, bitrate=128 kbps [avilib] V: 23.976 fps, codec=DIV3, frames=222110, width=720, height=480 [Aliens - Special Edition [Divx].avi-0000] (000000-165359), size 698.3 MB [Aliens - Special Edition [Divx].avi-0001] (165360-222109), size 247.4 MB bits=0 is concerning me, but why does only the second part contain no audio ? output of transcode : transcode -i evil_dead2_1.avi -P 1 -b 128 -o Evil_Dead2_2.avi transcode v0.5.2 (C) 2001 Thomas streich [transcode] auto-probing source evil_dead2_1.avi (ok) [transcode] V: import format | unknown RIFF data, AVI (V=avi|A=(null)) [transcode] V: pass-through | yes [transcode] V: import frame | 384x288 1.33:1 [transcode] V: encoding fps | 25.000 [transcode] A: import format | 0x1 PCM [44100,16,2] [transcode] A: export format | 0x55 MPEG layer-3 [44100,16,2] 128 kbps [transcode] A: bytes per frame | 7056 (7056.000000) [transcode] A: adjustment | 0@1000 [import_null.so] v0.1.2 (12/01/01) (video) null | (audio) null [import_avi.so] v0.3.2 (11/14/01) (video) * | (audio) * [export_null.so] v0.1.2 (08/17/01) (video) null | (audio) null [export_raw.so] v0.3.3 (10/10/01) (video) * | (audio) MPEG/AC3/PCM [import_null.so] tcextract -i /dev/zero -t raw -x pcm [import_avi.so] codec=DIV3, fps=25.000, width=384, height=288 [export_raw.so] codec=DIV3, fps=25.000, width=384, height=288 encoding frames [000000-011904], 53.63 fps, [Evil_Dead2_2.avi] I use avifile-0.6.0-20011207 and lame 3.89 (also tried 3.70). -- Marcel Janssen _______________________________________________ Avifile mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://prak.org/mailman/listinfo/avifile
