Is this package X86-only, or is there some hope it can be useful
on other architectures? The web pages mention the need to use
binary Lose32 DLLs. However, the source tree contains some
directories that appear to be for other architectures.

When I try compiling it on an Alpha, I get the following error
messages, after deleting the defines for X86 architecture and
MMX from ./configure:

mmx.cpp:642:2: warning: #warning ZOOM has to be written
mmx.cpp:639: `v555to565_nommx' was not declared in this scope

I got something similar before I commented out the defines,
which is why I tried commenting them out.

(I apologize in advance if the question is redundant. I didn't
find mention in the FAQ, and the information in the other web
pages didn't seem entirely conclusive on the subject.)

Thanks.
