Avifile could be running potentialy on every architecture which
is supported by  ffmpeg/Qt/libSDL  (and I guess this is not a problem)

The problem here is - I'm only i386 owner and I prefer to spend
time hacking and improving i386 version.

If there would be somehow who would like to help to resolve
some problems which are there and prevents its usage on non-x86
arhitecture that would be great.
(I've been definitely testing it about year ago on some Alpha
and it's been running (though very slowly across network)

Well if you want to help cleanup such minor bugs you are welcome
(or maybe if you have really fast net connection and fast alpha
station I may take a look on this ;) but as I've said I prefer
to work with local boxes)

Btw - the project which has far more developers and should work
with Alphas right away is mplayer.
