Category: None Group: None Status: Closed Resolution: Wont Fix Priority: 5 Submitted By: Tomas Kuliavas (tokul) Assigned to: Zdenek Kabelac (kabi) Summary: windows placement is too smart Initial Comment: when aviplay creates video output window, it overrides x window manager settings and tries to place it in own way. This works correctly with KDE, but causes problems with Gnome + Enlightenment or Sawfish. In sawfish window is placed in upper left possition. Not a big problem, window still can be moved. But in Enlightenment window's upper left corner goes out of current workspace. It is impossible to move the window without changing the workspace. Maybe it is possible to have some option that does not allow such "smart" behavior. System: Linux Debian Woody with updates from security.debian.org. Tested with avifile v.0.7.22-20021129 and with 20021208 cvs. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- >Comment By: Tomas Kuliavas (tokul) Date: 2002-12-10 11:44 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=225877 Sorry for disturbing you again. I am not C programmer. I usually can't provide patches for complex C and QT programs. But aviplay v.0.7.13 compiled on the same system with the same configure command, places windows correctly. And I think that it uses the same sdl libraries. Both versions first place window in the same spot. With newer avifile window later jumps to other spot. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Zdenek Kabelac (kabi) Date: 2002-12-09 15:16 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=15161 Aviplay is using SDL for X-Window operation so this is most probably bug related to SDL library and should be resolved there. Also if you have any patches which would have fixed this behaviour in aviplay - you may send them. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=111050&aid=650757&group_id=11050 _______________________________________________ Avifile mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://prak.org/mailman/listinfo/avifile
