I've searched a bunch of times using Google to try to
find a radio stream encoded with this new "Windows
Media Audio 9 Voice" codec, but I've had no luck. I
know this doesn't help much since you don't have easy
access to a Win box, but the only place I've been able
to find a "WMA9 Voice" stream is on the Windows Media
Demos webpage:

http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/demos.asp

and I can't figure out how to download the .wma file
or guess its URL via IE *grrrrrr*

It's strange. Their example of "WMA9 Voice" uses an
NPR news broadcast (All Things Considered). But if
you click on the "More Windows Media 9 Series content
at npr.org" link, none of the NPR Windows Media
streams use this new "WMA9 Voice" codec. I guess it
isn't very popular for some reason? I know that WGOP
had problems because a number of people couldn't
listen to the "WMA9 Voice" stream, even using WMP9.

Perhaps the answer is that if nobody in the Windows
world uses "WMA9 Voice," it isn't worth avifile's time
to worry about it, eh? Thanks very much for your help
along the way :^)
