Ahh- I haven't heard of an app that does that with photos, but I am assuming
it would work the same way if you had took 6 pictures. There could be
cameras that do that (that have 6 lenses etc).

I think it can be done by hand  but you would need to place your
tripod/camera perfectly, and even still do some photoshop adjusting...

So for a real life photograph (since it is so hard to recreate the precision
of the math in a 3d app), your best best would be something like the
quicktime VR layout, or other "mapping" of the skybox or "panorama".

Maybe google street view uses a system like the 6 images...but I am sure
those cameras cost a lot!!!! In general the cameras to produce "perfect"
images cost alot.

There are hacks to create panorama images with a standard camera (such as
use a shiny christmas ball). And there are software to create panoramas from
many images, but I don't know of any offhand that will create the 6 image
layout for you...if someone does please post!

So the 6 images seem like its best left for something super accurate like a
3d renderer.
