Hey Farhan if you do not require an animating MovieMaterial, then yes, using BitmapMaterial better as it removes the extra rasterising step performed by MovieMaterial to update the bitmapdata. even if you do require animation on your material, i would suggest using AnimatedBitmapMaterial if you can keep the number of frames in your movieclip low, as this will pre-cache all rasterising steps and be just as fast as a BitmapMaterial in a scene.
