Well, you seem impressed by those numbers :-)
The program works in light-years when it is working in galaxy
coordinates (coords of stars, galaxy framework) and in
km when it is working in system coordinates (system framework: planets,
satellites). So they are real numbers, 697000 is the radius
of the sun and 148192000 is the real distance in km the sun was from the
coords center when I took the screenshot. In the example
the camera is placed 95000 km behind the Earth.
The program is (or at least pretend to be :-) ) a real time simulator.
It is resolving Kepler equation for orbit calculations, it is using
osculating elements from the Astronomical Almanac, etc etc.
