It looks right to me, I mean, when I open the PNG in my browser, it shows the
legs as transparent, with some green outlining. That's exactly what appears to
be showing up in Away3D. If you wanted it to show up as black legs, shouldn't
you make those portions of your texture black?
Away3D will not apply the UV as an overlay. It replaces a wireframe or color material
with the bitmap you select. If you need to apply a matte color behind your texture in
order for it to display properly, you should do so in an image editor before hand. Or,
depending upon your 3D application, you can prompt it to "bake" your texture
graphic upon export. You could then use that texture in conjunction with your model when
rendering in Flash.

Are you aware you are using a PNG with a possible transparency (that is what
it looks like)? If you save as JPG, or fill in the transparency it wouldn't
behave this way.
Also, I opened your PNG and it seems corrupt. Whatever software created that
PNG, I would say, is not reliable (attached screenshot). I would simply
recreate with photoshop, or other image editor.

You can test it here http://dev.gameafrica.net/texture_prevue/models/
And this is the texture

and model http://dev.gameafrica.net/texture_prevue/models/model.md2
I just cant understand why it behaves this way.
Sometimes its shows bit different but it always is off in some way.
Can someone give me some advice on this.
Thank you.
