Whats going on here is that 3ds max don't give a shit about collada because
it is an open standard. ;) sounds like the collada team are trying to catch
up, but as is so often the case, they can only code so fast!

i would carry on checking the sourceforge link for updates, and revert your
max version to 2009 in the meantime, if possible
