btw, on my way home, thought about your issue.
I might have been confusing (as usual ) using terms like .5
I ment here that you need "see" on the plane only .5 of the source, so it needs
to be twice on scale on one axis.
using bellow zero you get indeed repeats.
I think that with scaleX, on both and use OffsetX to correct the second plane.
(if its horizontal)
you should be just fine.
