yes, there is a bug in AIR where alpha seems be ignored at load.
so when you export, Prefab as a check on"is there transparency", export as png 
else jpg

weird is that sometimes AIR displays the transparency, and sometimes it doesn't.

good news is, next to this issue, that Adobe plans to release AIR 2.5 any day 
now...
hopefully the cpu usage should then be way better than under 1.5.3 as it will 
be using the goodies from 10.1
