Hi, I have no idea as to why it is intermittent on instantiation, but I didn't really test it much as it was a bit of a rush while in work to create the usage example.
I will have a tinker to see if it's something I've missed or the setup of away3D. Maybe a little delay on adding it may solve the problem.
