Actually its a (known but not nailed yet) bug. Same is to be noticed with copy/paste meshes sometimes. The workaround is to add first something, (such as a primitive) in the scene then generate. Some delay in checks of empty scene and clean up's routine seams be involved in this conspiracy.
I have written few new features waiting to be added to the app. I'll look at this issue as well after I'm back from FOTB. Please enter this issue from the report menu, helps me remember and keep all centralized.
