Thanks for the suggestions savagelook.

I turned the stage quality low and gained another 2,3 FPS,
which means I'm around 12-13 FPS now, still a bit choppy.

I only have one model in my scene and it has a total of 1021 polygons,
but a maximum of 540 polygons are visible at any given time.

I'll try to bring the polygon count
down a bit, but since all I want to do is display one model, and
display it
as nice as possible, I need to find that balance between a smooth
model and
a smooth frame rate.

Any other tips I could use ?
