Ah I think I get it now...

So layers are not being translated to an actual Away3D mesh, primitive,
other piece of away3D awesomeness then they are just standard flash sprites
using their standard paramaters of x,y,z,rotationX,rotationY & rotationZ.

I've updated my dev test to illustrate:

As you can see mouse functions are standard for the sprite and do not get
triggered for Away3DLite plane rear.

So is there no way to actually alpha tween a plane in Away3DLite?

Has anyone ported the full Away3D plane to Away3DLite?
