I just read the AWD2 draft spec and it looks great. It looks to solve
the bloat problem of COLLADA and likely could be as fast as FBX and
most importantly an OPEN SOURCE specification. I wonder if Richard and
the other developers working on it could comment on the level of
awareness or interest in AWD2 by industry players like Unity3D, 3DS,
Maya, etc.? Is it a format that aims to be used generally beyond
Away3D and Flash?
