This is my personal view...

I agree our model is "commit then review", but it is always good to discuss
any change that affects the existing API or the behaviour. That is what we
follow in synapse as well, if you remember.

Commit then review doesn't imply that you can change the existing behaviours
and let the community review it. No offence on you at all, of course you are
doing a great job for axiom, axis2 and also for synapse.

BTW: can you please add the public method that you have removed preserving
the behaviour of that method? I guess your proposal on the first reply would
work.
