A variety of reasons, including:
1) XPathScript is more "perly", which is good for my coworkers (I'm the only one who knows any XSLT) 2) Performance: XPathScript says it executes faster than XSLT (doesn't it?) and looking at the architecture of the two, that is what I would expect.
Does it still say that? Oops...
No, XSLT will be faster.
