Seems to me thats what he means, and in fact they will give you the ability to cache intermediate stages in a pipeline, though at the cost of considerable complexity. On the other hand, maybe true full-blown cache at every step won't be any easier, so the question is (does AxKit really need extra cache functionality given AxKit URLs). Honestly I don't think so.
