Hi,

once more a try to get AxKit running on the MP2-Platform I've started a
case study about how to implement something like AxKit on MP2.

Attached to the mail is what have until now, it took around 2 days to
get the following things working in this case-study:

+ Processor-chain
+ Filebased caching system

Is described in the attached PNG. The most important thing AxKit is
working in 2 RequestPhases:

PerlFixupHandler (Check if we could use cached content)
PerlOutputFilterHandler (Transformation of "provided" content)

The cool thing about this is that AxKit can now use any arbitary
Content-Handler as its ContentProvider (mason, ...).

To make it possible for axkit to cache the content from it simply has to
set the notes("AxMTime").

To make caching content as easy as possible there is a replacement for
the ContentProvider known from AxKit1 (An Example is included =>
TomKit::Provider::RDBMS).

Please note I have not tested this sources heavily it is just a
casestudy how the implementation of something like AxKit on MP2. There
are many important things missing. But I'm not going to stop work util I
have something like AxKit running on MP2.

As a sidenote you need the latest mod-perl-RC5 with the namespace shift.

Tom
