Susana,

I just had to tell you that I received the book on Thursday and by Saturday
night, I finished it.  I could not put the book down.  It was great.  Thank you
again.

I tried getting it in the US as well, but had no luck. I ordered it
from Indigo and had it shipped no porblem to Bermuda.
I read it in 2 nights- such a great book. I have passed it onto my
brother and he has associated with it as well.
I really, really connected to this book, being a daughter of Azorean
immigrants.

Hope you get it, it is well worth the money.

that it originates in Lomba da Maia (where my husband was born).  I am so
excited I have to get the book.  Barnes & Noble is carrying it in the
U.S.

do Castro.  It is about a man leaving his village in mainland Portugal and
emigrating to Brazil to make some money, but it doesn't work out as he
expects.  It was a great story.
