Hi Yolanda, I noticed another very unusual record in the baptisms for Topo. It looks like a mass baptism for several children at once. I'm just not fluent enough to know what I'm reading with certainty! Would you have a look at it? CCA....Topo... baptisms...1828...page # 126 over onto page 127 Regarding what you suggested for the high infant mortality for certain times it could be disease or perhaps another factor. I have had an idea that it would be interesting to somehow have a database for each year with the unusual births recorded....Not sure why though. Best regards, Nancy

Your question is a very good one; it could mean a disease, an epidemic, around this time. But it is quite normal the high child mortality in this period. Did you have a chance to check out the records of death in this time? And see I f there is more than one death by "Household"? And if could see the ratio of the age of these women, that loose the children. These could be clues to finding the answer. For example, the mothers could be awfully young. Huma – Means one, but, the word lost the H, and Know a days its spelles uma. _________________________________________________________________ Store, manage and share up to 5GB with Windows Live SkyDrive. http://skydrive.live.com/welcome.aspx?provision=1?ocid=TXT_TAGLM_WL_skydrive_102008 --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ To unsubscribe from this group, send email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] Follow the confirmation directions when they arrive.
