Al; I've not had much luck with footnote, which has been pretty much the case for anything I've checked out. I tried Pear Harbor Muster Rolls but; didn't find him there. His parents were John Bettencourt Amerante (went by Bettencourt) and Maria Goulart. He had a brother, John and a sister Amelia. His wife was Helen but I don't know her maiden name. Three children the oldest was Victoria born in Fresno (I think) had two more daughters and a son, John. David was born about 1924 and died about 2002 -03 and when he retired lived in Idaho or Utah; I'm not sure.
