Carmen and listers, Thank you for the Rio de Janeiro/Ribeira Grande information on your family because my grandmother has several places listed as place of birth on her US records. Her marriage record says Rio Janeiro. All her siblings were born in the Azores (different islands) so maybe this will give me another clue to finding her baptism record. I have been searching for over 5 years for my grandmother's baptism record and I still have hope.......
