Hi Rick, I'm also researching da Costa, Carvalho Pimentel, Placido, de Mello, Medeiros Bento,de Rezendes from Santa Maria.
I just received documentation from Sao Miguel in which it says one of my ancester ggggf's name was Francisco Carvalho Pimentel and that he was from Vila do Nordeste his wife was Rosa Jacinta. I don't have any dates but I'm guessing mid 1850's for their birthdates. If you or any one with information would be a big help. Thank you.
