Don, This info that you found was from the American arrival record end? Did you check on the Azores ones, departing from there? (the site is down right now, though).
Many women my use the name of the church, but that doesn't mean that they are from there. I have a cousin in the Azores, Maria dos Anjos, and that's not the church where she was born.
