Hi Don,

I just read your note twice and I don't see that you mentioned census
information in the US. When I first started looking for my (new)
husband's grandfather, Anthony /Antone PACHECO in census information,
I found one man with that name living in New Bedford. I just took a
quick look and in 1910, there was one living next door to what looks
like a CORREIA (handwring poor) family. But, I think I found
another man living in the same house as a CORREIA. Even though I
have never found the correct man for my husband's grandfather, I've
always wondered whether "Tony" had a relative with that
surname. ("Tony" married ~1911 in Cambridge, MA.)

That's all I'll say for the moment. I'm pretty sure I've posted
about my PACHECO / MOURA couple here before. And, there are many
postings about them on the Azores and Massachusetts Lists at
www.rootsweb.com

Betty (near Lowell, MA, USA)

(Tony arrived ~1905 and came from the village of Sao Roque in Sao
Miguel, and his father was Joao PACHECO; Tony was ~20 when he came
to MA/US)
