Hi group. I have an ancestor, Manuel Joaquin Medeiros Quarenta. As far as I know, Quarenta means "forty." Are there other surnames that are numbers or is this a special exception?
If anyone is interested, Manuel was born in 1876 in Atalhada SM and died in 1950 in Fall River. He had twelve or thirteen children and was married to Filomena da Gloria Rego (1877-1946).
