Hi Wendi, I can only offer an FYI for you. My (now) husband's ancestors were: Joao PACHECO and Jacintha COSTA in the village of Sao Roque, Sao Miguel and Francisco MOURA and Philomene ROSE coming from Sao Roque, but I don't know from which village
Mrs. "Phoebe" MOURA and 5 of her children came to Boston, MA, between 1905 and 1915. I don't know what happened to "Frank" MOURA. The son, Anthony "Tony" PACHECO, at Age ~20 came to Boston, MA, ~1905. We believe he had relatives here, but cannot find proof of that. Tony married "Elsie" MOURA, who had arrived at Age 12 to become an "indentured servant." After her 7 years, they married and settled in Cambridge, MA. They had at least 7 children, but only 5 survived to adulthood.
