Hi Jesse, Jurdoa (Jordoa) is the feminine form of Jordão which is a given name.

III, VIII, XV, XXXII, XLII e LXXIV). Casou com Catarina Vaz (Cap.º 102.º § Único, N.º 2); 4. Francisco Cabral Travassos, morador na Lagoa (Nota N.º 19 e Frutuoso Livro IV, Cap.º VIII). I just found this casamento for two of my ancestors and noticed the Jurdoa name. I'm not sure if it's a surname or just a second name. The wife is Leanor Jurdoa. Her father is not listed, but her mother is Margarida Jurdoa. I was wondering if anyone has any more information on this name, or maybe I'm just reading it wrong? I searched the group page and "Jurdoa" did not come up in any previous postings. Here is the record, it's the first entry on the page: http://o.mfcreative.com/f1/file11/objects/2/3/3/b233a9fd-5bcd-4fa9-bc20-7454 fdb61233-0.jpg -- To unsubscribe from this group, send email to [email protected].
