Hi Margaret,

May be if you are lucky you could find a marriage of a sibling.

Hi Hermano,

Your 1/2 cent is worth a lot to me, thank you.

Ferreiro as profession makes sense and the rest is great input that I
will use to go back and re-read it. My problem is that there are no
baptismal records available which would help getting the names right.

Thank you.

Margaret.

Hello Margaret

I don't think that I can help you very much with the frist one, however
comparing script with the rest of the entry I wonder if it could be his
profession rather than his name.
Second line, word 3, last two characters. Then first two characters of
fourth line, word 3; sixth line, word 7 and seventh line, words 4 and
six.
The closest that I can come up with is then Manuel Pacheco ferreiro
(frro). I sure could not make it out to be "Travassos".

On the secon one, his father would be Aleyxos (Aleixo) Rodrigues Payva
(Paiva) and his mother looks to be very much like Sezilia (Cecilia, what
looks like a z could very well be a C) Pereira, from Maya (Maia). as for
the rest you are absolutely right. There is defenitely information
missing.

This is really going out on a limb but I wonder if Ana Fernandes' mother
was another Ana Fernandes and her father Jose Fernandes (words between
the fifth and sixth lines at left).

And that is my 1/2 cent worth, hope it does not add to the confusion.

Good day to All,

I'm experiencing difficulty in reading my 5 & 6 ggfa's marriage records;

1) Marriage record for Braz de Paiva and Maria da Costa dated
24-Oct-1711. Could someone take a look and let me know what is Maria's
father last name? It is short form. He is Manuel Pacheco TrVo? would
it be Travassos or?

2) Marriage record for Manuel de Paiva and Ana Frs (Fernandes?) dated
29-Aug-1667

It says he's the son of Aleyros Rodrigues de Payva, deceased and of
xxxx? with Ana Frs (Fernandes?) and next to it I'm reading
defunta/deceased? it doesn't make sense. Can someone help please.

Thank you!

Margaret
