Oh Celeste, I know exactly how you feel! On my first visit to the Regional Archives at the Horta Public Library in 2004 (when it was still in the old, old location), I located my great-uncle's baptismal record (in Fajãzinha) after only about an hour's searching -- the first Flores ancestor whose record I'd ever found! I unexpectedly became so overwhelmed by emotion that at first a few tears started sliding down my face, then eventually I was weeping noticeably (I know, Iknow, how humiliating!). One of the tech staff solicitously came over to the big center table where I was working to see if I was OK, and since she speaks no English I had to try to explain to her in my halting Portuguese what I'd just found and why it was so important to me that I was so deeply moved.
So please don't feel so bad. Katharine. On Aug 2, 10:29 pm, celeste perry <[email protected]> wrote: > I fooled him.
