After speaking with the Archdiocese in Sacramento, they stated that
Father Breault is in charge of the archives but is only in on Mondays,
so I left a message with him. In the time being I decided to call the
Chancery Archives for the Diocese of San Francisco at St. Patrick's
Seminary in Menlo Park and spoke with the archives director who was
very helpful. He stated that St. Alphonsus merged with Holy Spirit
Catholic Church in Fairfield, CA and that the records should be held
at that church. St. Alphonsus used to be part of the Archdiocese of
San Francisco back in the day, but now that area is part of the
Sacramento Archdiocese. He also noted that at some point there was a
fire at St. Alphonsus and some of the records may have been lost. I
phoned Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Fairfield and spoke with someone
who confirmed that they had some of the records from St. Alphonsus in
Suisun, CA. She said I would be able to come in and look at some of
the book sometime during the week after 1 pm. So hopefully I will be
able to find the baptismal and marriage records there.

Thanks,

            David
