We'll see what we discover. the three eldest daughters were already married then and living in Velas, all of them - they show children of their own as well but so far no sign of the remaining sisters (ages 15-18) getting married in Velas or a few of the surrounding towns. I am going through the towns one by one to find marriages and deaths and we'll see what comes up if anything.
I read somewhere about confession logs which were logs that the priests kept each easter of parishoners and where they lived. Does anyone know if these were kept on Sao Jorge and if so, where they can be found? thanks SUzanne On May 9, 11:19 am, Chocolynn <[email protected]> wrote: > In the 1918 flu epidemic, the mother instead of father died: Maria (de > Luz) Caton/Caetano left behind her husband, William "Willie" Caton/ > Caetano but the result was similar.
