Hi, Everyone. I am planning a trip to Sao Miguel and need some practical advice. Specifically, I need to know if I can count on having access to ATM machines in Ponta Delgada. I'm reading that travelers' checks are not convenient to use. I would prefer to take a small amount of American cash and plan on withdrawing money from my account in Euros for everyday expenses. Any advice will be greatly appreciated.
